I think it would present itself as old school, regardless of what I do! But I guess what I like about it is that a lot of us still think about the region this way – a picturesque tourist destination full of lurking dangers for “the white man”. Of course, the country probably wouldn’t be such a dangerous place if not for the meddling of the United States – but that’s another story.

I like the bit that says it’s treacherous for the white man, specifically because it doesn’t back it up with anything remotely treacherous. The style fits in with some of the other material you use but are you planning on presenting it as somehow accurate, or as an old school impression of Guatamala?

Looks good, Robin. Everything loaded up and ran smoothly. I like the new format-seems easier to latch onto a dynamic project (and as you said, less solipsistic). There are others out here following the course of your work. Looking forward to the final product when it’s ready.
