For those of you who haven’t seen the fine cut, this project is extremely close to being finished. It’s been chopped down to 93 minutes, given a score and a voice over, and it’s already been sent to several festivals. But now we need your help to make it legal, and make it pretty. To contribute a pledge to our goal of $15,000 for finishing funds by the end of January 2012, please visit our Kickstarter page. Funds will go toward a professional color correction and sound mix, music and archival materials licensing, fair use legal counsel, errors and omissions insurance, and other essentials to prepare us for distribution. It will also pay for one more trip to Guatemala, to grab some last archival clips, and to share the rough cut with the town of Momostenango
